AIR FILTERS FOR TRIAL BIKES
The air filter is the lung of the trial motorcycle. Its maintenance is daily and is essential to achieve a long and optimal engine life. The air filter breathes the air that the motorcycle needs to achieve the balance of richness between air and gasoline.
A dirty and poorly maintained air filter does not allow air to pass to the engine, which in the short term results in a loss of performance, starting difficulties and mechanical complications.
HOW OFTEN TO CHANGE THE AIR FILTER
It is normal to have two air filters. One clean one, to be placed in each outlet, and the second one to be used in alternate outlets while the previous one is being cleaned. It is also advisable to spray the air filter with a little air filter spray, as it helps the dust particles to stick to the filter and not pass into the engine. This is more important when there is dust on the ride.
AIR FILTERS FOR GASGAS TRIAL
Depending on the year, the air filter changes in shape, not in composition. The air filters, by year, are as follows:
Gas Gas Contact JT air filter 1992 to 1995; Gas Gas JTR air filter 1996; Gas GasGas JTX and TX air filter 1997 - 1998; GasGas TXT air filter 1999 to 2003 (Edition), and Gas Gas Gas TXT Pro air filter 2002 to 2021.
AIR FILTERS FOR BETA TRIAL
In the case of the Italian brand, there are air filter for Beta Techno; air filter for Beta REV3 and air filter for Beta EVO.
AIR FILTERS FOR MONTESA COTA
The Spanish brand has changed little in the form of its filters in recent years, which are as follows. Air filter for Montesa Cota 309 and Cota 310; air filter for Montesa Cota 314R; air filter for Montesa Cota 315R and air filter for Montesa Cota 4RT and 4Ride.
AIR FILTERS FOR SHERCO TRIAL BIKES
In 2010 Sherco gave a new look to its tria range, placing the air filter on the front of the bike, although in 2016 it returned to place it at the rear of the bike. During these years, there was a specific filter for 2010 and 2011, and another for 2012 to 2015.
AIR FILTERS FOR TRS MOTORCYCLES
All TRRS carry the same air filter, which also fits without tools, as it slides on a rail to its exact location.
AIR FILTERS FOR VERTIGO MOTORS
For the Vertigo, the air filter is on the front of the bike, in the natural position of the fuel tank. The air cleaner for Vertigo Combat and Vertical is the same, except that the Vertigo Vertical R2 has a modified air cleaner housing and the air cleaner also varies accordingly.
