What’s a day like with Gabriel Marcelli? Here’s what we’ll tell you

Everyone knows the name Gabriel Marcelli as he is one of the great riders on the current scene, but how many know what his day-to-day life is like? at Trialworld, we’ll explain it to you.

Marcelli is currently preparing for his first season as an official Repsol Honda Team rider at the controls of a Montesa Cota 4RT and has a very marked routine for this. As the rider explained, the first thing he does when he wakes up is to eat breakfast to have strength during the day while watching mechanics videos. Later, around ten o’clock in the morning, he begins his training, which lasts approximately four hours. The Repsol rider explained that one of the most important things about the trial is that “apart from training in different places, you have to vary the type of areas a lot to hammer away at the weak points”.

When the motorcycle training is over, the physical work begins in the gym, during this part of the preparation, Marcelli trains for about two hours , where what he does is strengthen his legs and lats. One of the exercises he is practicing the most is simulating the handlebars of the motorcycle with an iron structure, which is unstable.

WHAT DOES MARCELLI THINK OF HAVING BOU AS A TEAMMATE?

The Galician explained that he is very motivated with this new season and that the biggest dream he has is to become world champion. He also commented that “being Toni Bou’s teammate is a dream and it will be very positive for me. Toni knows the bike very well and has a great team around him and he is transmitting all this to me. He’s a very plain person and I think I couldn’t have found a better partner.”
