VIDEO | Double in the United States for Toni Bou

tonibou usa15victory in the World Championship Toni Bou has added a new double victory in the current campaign of the Trial World Championship, this time, in the United States. With this result, Toni adds his 75th victory in the world championship and is firmly on his way to his ninth consecutive outdoor title.

The seventh round of the World Championship, held at Stepping Stone Ranch in Rhode Island, was one of the toughest held this season. The rain that fell on Friday increased the difficulty of an already demanding course. Bou, who is comfortable in this type of race, dominated both days of the race with a wide advantage over his main rival, who was always Adam Raga.

With this panorama, Toni Bou goes on holiday with the possibility of winning the title in the penultimate round of the World Championship, which will be held in Portugal on 5 and 6 September. Raga is 34 points behind Toni Bou and has the runner-up position practically assured, as Jeroni Fajardo is 43 points behind.

Fajardo completed the podium on this second day of competition and also consolidates his third position in the provisional standings. Therefore, it is very likely that the top positions will not change until the end of the year. The excitement is focused on the fight for fourth place between Cabestany and Fujinami, where the Sherco driver has a 13-point advantage.

USA15 PODIUM 2

Toni Bou: This weekend has gone very well. The trial was quite complicated but I went very well on the bike. I am very happy. These two victories give me some peace of mind because we increase the advantage over my rivals and I will be able to race more calmly in Portugal.
We wanted to win, and the result was unbeatable. I felt very good in the zones, also thanks to the fact that during the pre-season I trained a lot in the ‘Non-Stop’ and here I have been able to apply everything I trained this winter.
