Crashes are the order of the day in any motorsport discipline, especially if we are talking about one as technical and demanding as trial. In high competition, these falls are, if possible, more spectacular due to the height and difficulty of the obstacles.
All this casuistry has been subjected to intense debate in recent weeks following
Toni Bou’s back injury
at the X-Trial at Le Mans. In addition, the FIM has announced that from 2019 the use
of back and chest protectors for trials will be mandatory.
