Victory for Montalvo in Cambrils, with podium for Palau and Conejos

Vera Baron y Alejandro Montalvo, which reached Cambrils as leaders of the Spanish Trial Cup after winning the opening round in Mazarrón, they have repeated their triumph in the Tarragona race to show the excellent form with which they have started this 2022 season.

The Cambrils event, second round of the 2022 Spanish Trial Cup , took place throughout the day of Sunday, April 3, with a spectacular participation both in terms of the number of pilots, which were about 150, and the level of the pilots, where the great national stars shone, reaffirming their absolute status as world stars, beating the important international participation that the competition had.

Drivers who made it to the final

In the men’s elite category, the six riders who distinguished themselves as the best and managed to reach the final were Alejandro Montalvo, Benito Ros, Eloi Palau, Julen Sáenz de Ormijana, Borja Conejos, current Trialworld rider and the Austrian Thomas Pechhacker.

After a nice battle for the victory, Montalvo and Palau tied with 270 points, but the leader of the Spanish Cup took the victory by managing to complete four zones perfectly to the three that Palau achieved. The podium was completed by reigning world champion Borja Conejos with 230 points.

As far as the elite women’s competition is concerned, world champion Vera Barón continued to extend her dominance after completing an imposing competition that saw her finish with 550 points. Alba Riera finished in second place with 450 points; while the third place was occupied by Laia Esquis with 390 points.
