Victory for Abel Mustieles at the UCI World Cup in Aalter

The 2017 UCI Trials World Cup season kicked off in Aalter (Belgium) on 20 and 21 May, an event included in a five-race calendar. Aalter already hosted the inaugural round of this championship in 2012.
In the Elite 20″ category, Spanish dominance was expected, but there were unknowns to be cleared up. Both Abel Mustieles and Benito Ros, a new signing from Clean Trials in 2017, reach the final round at the controls of the brand new

The competition debut of this new model could not have been better. Abel achieved a crushing victory in the final round, scoring a card with only 10 points in a very demanding terrain. The second position goes to the Spanish rider Ion Areitio, with 15 points, and Benito Ros completes the podium with 19 points, resolving in his favor a tiebreaker with Dominik Oswald. One point behind, fifth, the young Alejandro Montalvo completes this final round.
The next race of the 2017 UCI Trials World Cup will be on July 8 and 9 in Vöcklabruck
