Tragic passing of Mika Ahola

HELLOToday we have received tragic news for motorcycling and the off-road world. Mika Ahola , multiple Enduro World Champion and one of the most cutting-edge riders of the Finnish academy, died tonight at the Teknon Clinic in Barcelona, where he was admitted due to internal injuries that he suffered while training a month ago in Girona.

37-year-old Mika Ahola had to have a kidney removed, causing quite a few subsequent complications that have ended up costing the life of this great Enduro rider.

TRAJECTORY

MiKa started with Husqvarna in 1993, within the 125 cc class where he only managed to finish tenth. In 1997 and with TM he reached the runner-up position with the TM brand, a position he repeated in 2000 (250), 2001  and 2002 (500) with TM  and VOR. In 2006 and already in the E2 category he also achieved the runner-up position with Honda.

He was proclaimed World Champion in 2007 at E2. Then came the two E1 titles in 2008 and 2009, again in E2 in 2010 and the E3 title in 2011.
