Toni Bou has just been proclaimed XTrial World Champion 2017 after winning his fourth consecutive race of the season in Nice, making it full of victories.
As was the case in Marseille, Adam Raga did not make it easy for him, winning the qualifying round. However, in the final Toni Bou was relentless and did not take any penalties.
In this way , Adam Raga achieves his second XTrial World Runner-Up at the controls of a TRS One. The one who will have a more bittersweet taste is Albert Cabestany, who had everything in his favor to consolidate third place in the provisional standings, but a bad qualifying round has separated him from this podium in favor of Jeroni Fajardo.

“I’m very happy, it’s a special title. Winning the first three races we knew we had to go through to the final to end up celebrating the title. But we knew that this race was going to be easy, so we had to work qualifying, because we knew we could suffer. We ended up winning the race, running at zero, because Adam always makes it difficult for us. We’ve won every race – I haven’t been able to do it for two years – it’s an incredible feeling. I also want to congratulate the team, who have worked hard and winning the title is a way of giving back to them for how much they have done to achieve it.”

“I’m very pleased with how the X-Trial season went. Of course I consider that the runner-up in the World Championship is an excellent result, especially considering the level of demand of this championship, but I am especially happy with the image that we have given as a team, fighting in every race and in every area for the victory. The bike is also in an excellent spot. Without a doubt, this start of the year gives us motivation and strength to work the rest of the season to get victories.
