Toni Bou wins in Candeleda and puts the national championship on fire

Toni Bou achieved an important victory today in the face of the assault of the national title, a championship that is currently led by Adam Raga with a one-point advantage after finishing the race in second position. The last step of the podium went to Jeroni Fajardo by a single point over Albert Cabestany.
The fifth round for the 2015 Spanish Trial Championship took place in the town of Candeleda, at the foot of the Sierra de Gredos, in a very trial-like terrain and demanding for all riders due to its low traction, to which has been added the high level of the areas and the prevailing heat.
Toni Bou has stood out from his rivals from the first lap, where he has signed a card of 8 points, compared to the 17 of Cabestany, who provisionally occupied the second position and a double tie between Raga and Fajardo.

The second and final lap was therefore going to be decisive for the final result. On the one hand for Bou, who had a comfortable lead and everything pointed to a comfortable victory, and on the other for Adam Raga, who as the current leader of the championship could not afford to give up any more points to Toni Bou.
It was a good result for Adam Raga in his second race at the controls of the TRS One. Jeroni Fajardo, on the other hand, earned the third step of the podium after a fantastic second lap, relegating a good Cabestany to fourth position.
Behind them, Jaime Busto, with 48 points, Jorge Casales, with 54 points, Pol Tarrés with 75 points, Gelabert with 89 points, Farre with 98 points and Noguera with 99.

In TR2 a fantastic victory for Marcos Méndez ahead of his great rival, Marc Riba, and Joaquín Salcedo.
Toni Bou will have the chance to take the lead of the National in the next race of the Spanish Trial Championship, which will be held in Baiona, Pontevedra, on Sunday, October 18.

Toni Bou: Today everything went very well and I’m very happy. The race seemed more complicated; It was very physical and with the timing quite tight. With Adam we made the difference with the rest right away and at the end of the race I was able to do a better trial: the day was well-rounded. I’m very happy with this victory because the championship was quite complicated and now we have some options. We are obliged to win the two remaining races, and although in Bayonne I will start at the front – and it will be more complicated – we will try everything until the last race.
