Toni Bou will compete with Fiat 500

bou_fiat500_400Ten-time Trial World Champion Toni Bou will leave the bike for a few days and face a new challenge at the wheel of a competition car. To warm up his engines, Bou will fight next Monday in Barcelona in a spectacular duel with his teammate Fujinami.

The rider from Piera (Barcelona) will take part in the next December 3 in the 500 kilometers of Alcañiz, an endurance test that will be held at the Motorland Aragon circuit. Bou will compete at the wheel of a Fiat 500 Abarth powered by AutoGas, an alternative fuel that contributes to the improvement of air quality thanks to its minimal emissions and is more economical than traditional fuels. 

 It will be the This is the first time that an AutoGas car has competed in an endurance race in Spain. The vehicle has been adapted with Spanish technology by Difisa – the largest Fiat dealer in Catalonia – to run on this alternative fuel supplied by Repsol.

Toni Bou: “After a fantastic season, it is a reward for me that Repsol gives me the opportunity to race the 500 km of Alcañiz on a circuit like Motorland, which is incredible. The car I’m going to drive has some special features. It runs on a fuel called AutoGas, which contributes to improving air quality and provides much lower consumption. That will allow us to do more laps and be more competitive.”
