Toni Bou sets the tone at the Japanese GP

Toni Bou took a double victory at the Japanese GP, held in the vicinity of the Twin Ring Motegi circuit, owned by Honda. The great feat was that, in addition, Bou completed the second day of the race with zero points on his card. The podium, both days, was completed by Raga and Fujinami.

With changeable conditions, where mud and rain dominated the qualifying session and the first day of the race, in the Japanese GP we have seen high scores, something that especially favors the leading riders. In the two days of the race, the podium of TrialGP has been repeated, with Bou at the top followed by Raga and a Fujinami who surprises again at home.

Both days we also have the fourth position of James Dabill, who takes a step forward in the championship. A good performance from Casales, especially on the second day, where he was fifth, and also a great job from the German Kadlec, sixth both days.

Toni Bou:

Today we had a perfect trial in a perfect place. I’m very happy with my riding today. To have done such a perfect trial here in Japan has been very special. Thank you to the whole team who have done a great job. We’ve prepared a lot for these first races and the results have been incredible, so I couldn’t be happier about this weekend.

Adam Raga:

Day 1 “The race went pretty well. It’s a pity that in the last sections I chained several fives, one of them too strict, and there I already distanced myself from Toni. On the second lap I improved quite a bit, so I’m satisfied with the result and the driving.”
Day 2 “I’m happy with today’s race. I had a very good second lap, not being able to fight for the victory as I would like, since from zone 12 on the first lap I made some mistakes, but the riding was good. After that I kept my line, but without mistakes and I’m happy to have scored a lot of points in a very positive weekend.”

Fujinami:

I’m super happy to have been able to get on the podium on both days of racing here in Japan. Today the trial was very complicated because the sections were very simple and it was very easy to make a mistake. I didn’t start the second half of the season very well and there was a moment when I got a bit demotivated but with the help of the team and the fans, we fought until the end.
