Toni Bou is proclaimed Spanish Champion 2015 after a run by Jaime Busto

The 2015 Trial season has definitively concluded with the closing of the Spanish Championship in Cal Rosal (Barcelona), where the new champion, Toni Bou, has also been announced, who renews his crown after an exciting fight with Adam Raga until the last section.
With this new title, Toni Bou manages to complete another dream season, winning all the championships where he has participated and increasing the figures of an impressive track record. He has not been able to finish the season with a victory, but the second place obtained behind his teammate, Jaime Busto, mathematically gave him the championship

THE REVELATION

Jaime Busto was the other big news of the day. The Basque rider arrived this season in the ranks of the official Montesa Honda team involved in a controversy with Beta, his previous team. Neither the disagreements, nor the pressure of joining the most demanding team in the world championship, nor riding a radically different bike have been an impediment for Jaime to have signed a season in continuous growth and technical improvement.
Few doubted his talent, but few could bet that in the same season where he made his debut in the top category he would manage to win a test of the national trial championship, ahead of stars like Bou and Raga in a race where they did not hold anything back, since between them there was a title between them. Double credit to Jaime.
After his victory, Jaime declared: “I almost can’t believe it. I’m very happy with today’s result! Yesterday, in training, I felt very comfortable with the bike and the terrain. Little by little I did very well and I was able to continue in this vein until the end. I want to congratulate Toni [Bou] for the championship, with him I always learn a lot when we train together and also thank the team for their work. This year I’ve felt really good with them.”

RAGA, ONE STEP AWAY FROM THE TITLE

The battle between Bou and Raga did not disappoint. Maximum excitement until the last section, as both riders arrived with options for victory and, therefore, the title. In the end, Raga added one more point than Busto and Bou on his scorecard, which left him as a worthy runner-up in Spain with the TRS, a completely new bike that is still in the evolution phase.
Both Bou and Raga have been worthy of the title. Once again the great protagonist has been Toni Bou, who continues to consolidate himself as the best trial rider of all time.
The third place in the championship went to Jeroni Fajardo, who will presumably change teams in the next few days and everything points to him being at the controls of a Vertigo in 2016.
In the rest of the levels in action, which have had a maximum time of four and a half hours to do two laps of the course, the victory has corresponded to Marc Riba, the fifth and last member of the RFME SPEA National Team and already crowned winner of the CET 2015 in TR2, in the silver category; Gabriel Marcelli, in Junior; Marc Horrach, in TR3; Pablo Suárez, in Cadet; Sergio Puyo, in TR4; Elisabet Solera, in Female A; Alba Lara, in Female B; Carla Caballé, in Female C; Carlos Brines, in Juvenil A; Lluc Miquel, in Juvenil B; and Joan Solé, in Veterano.
The national winners in the categories yet to be decided have finally been Sergio Puyo, in TR4; Pablo Suárez, in Cadet; Carla Caballé, in Female C; Lluc Miquel, in Juvenil B; and Joan Solé, in Veteran, while Elisabet Solera and Gabriel Marcelli have been proclaimed new Spanish Champions in Women’s A and Junior, respectively.
Marc Riba, in TR2; Francesc Recio, in TR3; Alba Lara, in Female B, and Rodrigo Marchal, in Juvenil A, are the winners of 2015 that we already knew in the previous events.

DECLARATIONS

Toni Bou: “I’m very happy with today’s result. Jaime [Busto] went very strong today and his victory is positive news for the team and for the trial sport in general. I’m very happy with how we closed the championship: we struggled at the beginning, but we won it. I want to thank the whole team for the great job they have done so that we could get here with these options, since at the beginning it was a bit complicated for us. The last few races have gone very well and we have finally defended the title.”
