The victory is decided in Andorra in favor of Toni Bou after the tiebreaker

Toni Bou picked up where he left off in France seven weeks ago and took victory on the opening day of the Andorra TrialGP, round three of the 2021 Hertz FIM Trial World Championship, but was pressured to the end by Adam Raga.

After two hard-fought laps of 12 sections, it was necessary to compare the time invested in the race to resolve the technical tie between the two drivers. Finally, the less time invested by Toni tipped the balance in his favour, adding some fundamental points for the 2021 Trial World Championship.

GRATTAROLLA, REVELATION PILOT

Italy’s Matteo Grattarola continued his impressive run of form following his return to the category following his Trial2 title last year, with a fantastic third place, albeit 19 marks off the top two, with Jaime Busto equalling his best result of the season in fourth ahead of Spain’s Miquel Gelabert.

"Toni Bou takes an important victory by the minimum over Raga and maintains the lead of the World Championship."

TOBY MARTYN IN TRIAL 2 AND CHATAGNO IN TRIALE

In Trial2, British riders Toby Martyn and Jack Peace have been very close throughout the season. Peace had a narrow lead in the series going into Andorra thanks to his win at Charade, but Martyn came back and left things level at the top of the table.

In 125 the riders returned to competition after the Italian GP. The Andorra GP left us with another British winner – that’s three in three rounds – with Harry Hemingway taking a solid win ahead of Jack Dance and Harry Turner.

In Trial-E, Gael Chatagno (Electric Motion) repeated his first-round victory against his compatriot Julian Perret. Gael is the man to beat and his records prove it. His solidity and technical ability make him a clear favourite for the electric motorcycle title. Martin Riobo completed the podium with a great third position.

DECLARATIONS

toni bou (P1)"Today we got a victory on the limit. It was all very tight, but we didn't throw in the towel at any time and we fought until the end. First Adam Raga was only two points behind, then we equalised and it even passed me. In the end we tied on points and I was able to win because of the time invested. It was all very tight and Raga made things very difficult for me, so I'm even happier with this victory and even more so here in Andorra. It's very important to me."
