The Trial World Cup for Trial-E electric motorcycles is born

The Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme announces the creation of a new category in the Trial World Championship, designed exclusively for
electric trial motorcycles
.
This is the FIM Trial-E World Cup and will be held during a single Grand Prix, the French Grand Prix, which will take place in Lourdes on June 24 and 25, coinciding with the rest of the categories that make up the
Trial World Championship
.

Thierry Michaud, director of the FIM Trial Commission states that “they expect to have between 5 and 10 riders and at least two different manufacturers in this category”. One of these brands will be
Electric Motion
, which already has an important range of electric trial bikes in its catalogue, and it is unknown whether Gas
Gas EGD electric
will be ready to compete in the French GP.

Registrations are now open and the minimum number of pilots for this project to go ahead is five.
The creation of this category is an important turning point for the proliferation of this variant of engines and makes access to the mountains more flexible on motorcycles that do not produce emissions and the noise level is very low.
