The National Classic Trial started in Castielfabib

The national Classic Trial started this past weekend in the interior of the province of Valencia. The town of Castielfabib made its debut in a Spanish Cup competition and did so with a very good note. The zones were prepared according to the levels of the categories and the almost 70 registered went home very happy.

The Motoclub Rincón de Ademuz was in charge of carrying out the test that had two days of competition with independent scoring.

Hard-fought victories

In some categories the victory was very close as the riders who led the classification were very even in points. On Saturday and in the Classics, José Ramón Martínez and José Enrique Romero tied at 3 penalties, although it was the Honda rider who won. Joaquim Lara closed out the top three with just one more point. In Experts, Oscar Mill was the best with 3, followed by Diego Urreta with 7 and Joan Sole with 23.

Everything was very tight in Pre-75 Yellows with a three-way tie between the top three. Víctor Beltrán, José Emilio Palencia and Rafael Asins were the protagonists. Something similar happened in Pre-80 Verdes when Roberto Mendibil and Mike Antequera added the same penalties on their card, 5. Jose Gabriel Dasi finished third with 8.

Finally in Trialeros things were not so fought and Bertrán Martínez-Peñalver won with a total of 3 points. Fernando Cabré was second with 7 and José María Martínez third with 8.

On Sunday the script was the same, although in some categories there were different winners compared to Saturday. In the Classics, José Enrique Romero (0) won the game with a perfect Trial, followed by Manuel Rull (1) and Enric Lluis Blaya (1). In Experts, Oscar Mill (2) won again while Diego Urreta (3) and Joan Sole (10) had to settle, again, for second and third, respectively.

In Pre-75 Yellows did change the classification. Jose Maria Martinez (2) took the win, Rafael Asins (3) was second and Jose Emilio Palencia (3) third. José Gabriel Dasi (1) stood out above the others in Pre-80 Greens. Roberto Mendibil (7) finished second and Mike Antequera (7) third. Fernando Cabré, José María Martínez and Carlos Varade were the protagonists of Trialeros with 1, 2 and 2 points, respectively.

The next round of the RFME Spanish Cup of Classic Trials will be held in Sigüenza, Guadalajara, on the weekend of April 18 and 19.
