The Indoor World Championship arrives in Malaga this Sunday

Cabestamy Indoor 480The twelve-time World Champion, Toni Bou, has presented in Malaga what will be the third round of the X-Trial World Championship, which will be held this Sunday, March 10 at 7:00 p.m. at the José María Martín Carpena Sports Pavilion. 

As an exceptional representative, the twelve-time World Champion Toni Bou, who has been “very happy” to be able to compete in a race of these characteristics precisely in Malaga, the city in which he obtained the first indoor victory of his sporting career.

Since then, Bou has become the best active trial rider in the world, with twelve world titles: six indoors and six outdoors.

In the X-Trial World Championship that is now being held, and of which Malaga is the third event of the five that make up the Championship, he is on his way to winning his seventh indoor title.

Bou said.

Along with Toni Bou, Damián Caneda, Councillor for Tourism, Culture and Sport of the Malaga City Council; Javier Imbroda, Director of Sport of the City Council; and Albert Javierre, representative of Octagon Esedos, organizer of the event.

Thus, the Sunday, March 10 at 7:00 p.m., The Palacio de Deportes José María Martín Carpena will host an unprecedented show in the Andalusian city, in which the people of Malaga and fans of the world of two wheels will be able to see on the sand the acrobatics of the best trial riders on the international scene, including Toni Bou.

bou indoor480The Repsol Montesa Honda rider, who has already won the first two rounds, Sheffield and Barcelona, will arrive in Malaga with the intention of gaining an advantage in order to win what would be his seventh consecutive world title in this discipline.

The event will surely be decisive for the final outcome of the championship, since after it there will only be two more races in which to obtain points.

To achieve his goal, Bou will have to face tough rivals who usually follow closely behind him in the Championship, such as the Spaniards Albert Cabestany, Adam Raga and Jeroni Fajardo; and also with other fixed drivers of the Championship, such as the Japanese Takahisa Fujinami; Britain’s Jack Challoner; Italy’s Mateo Grattarola; and the Frenchman Alexandre Ferrer.
