The Indoor Trial World Championship will be decided at the X-Trial in Barcelona

The X-Trial of Barcelona will crown the new 2021 X-Trial World Champion on November 21.

It will be the second and last scoring event for an atypical world championship in dates and also in calendar, since for the first time it is held at the end of the year and not at the beginning. All this due to the Covid19 restrictions in terms of capacity and capacity to draw up a stable calendar.

Therefore, this year there will be a first event in Andorra, specifically on November 6, which will be followed by X-Trial in Barcelona.

RIDERS CONFIRMED FOR THE X-TRIAL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

The Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) has confirmed the names of the 9 riders who will take part in the 2021 X-Trial World Championship. The line-up is headed by Toni Bou (Montesa), who will defend the world title he won in 2020. His rivals will be Adam Raga (TRRS), Jeroni Fajardo (Sherco), Benoît Bincaz (Beta), Jorge Casales (GasGas), Jaime Busto (Vertigo), Miquel Gelabert (GasGas), Gabriel Marcelli (Montesa) and Matteo Grattarola (Beta).

The only novelty compared to the 2020 race at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona is the entry of the Italian Grattarola, fourth in the 2021 TrialGP World Championship, so there will be one more rider on track than last year.

Last year’s podium was made up of Toni Bou, Adam Raga and Jorge Casales. It was Bou’s thirteenth victory in Barcelona and the first podium in the X-Trial World Championship for Galician Jorge Casales.
