The World Championship will not start in France on April 13 and 14, as announced by the promoter of the series.
At this time there is no solution for the 2024 outdoor world championship to start on the scheduled date. The French federation and the FIM itself are looking for a solution to keep France as the first event on the calendar, although it would almost certainly be on a different date than the one initially proposed.
The complications are several. On the one hand, that the vast majority of national championships have already published their dates for 2024 and the compatibility of the calendars should be guaranteed. And on the other hand, that between May 17 and 19 the World Cup caravan will be in Motegi, Japan, something that complicates the logistics of the teams and limits the performances in the previous weeks.
If a solution is not confirmed for the French GP, it would be Japan who would inaugurate a late and very reduced calendar. After Japan, the riders would travel to Andorra between June 7 and 9, linking directly to the Italian GP, which would be held in Valsassina between June 14 and 16.
Just three weeks later the action would continue in Neunkirche, Germany, from 5 to 7 July, from where they would travel directly to Comblain-au-Pont, Belgium, for the penultimate round of the calendar between 13 and 14 July.
Subsequently, a month later, the Spanish GP would be held in Ripoll, which in this edition would close the season between September 13 and 15.
Once the individual world championship has been decided, the three riders selected to represent their countries will travel to Pobladura de las Regueras to compete in the last FIM Trial 2024 outdoor race: the Trial of Nations.
