The Young Pilot Jack Sheppard will continue his relationship with Beta in 2013, but will do so by joining the well-known Italian Top Trial Team with the aim of participating in the European and World Championships.
Sheppard will maintain his close relationship with Jitsie and will carry the Belgian brand in both equipment and components of the bike. It will also receive support from Red Bull.
Sheppard is currently in Spain preparing for the upcoming 2013 season, where he will try to compete for the Junior World Championship and add this international title to the one already won in 2011 in the Youth category. Jack will also compete in the British Championship, the Scottish Six Days Trial and more events that fit into his sporting calendar.
At nineteen years of age, the Suffolk rider is ready to make the definitive leap to his sporting career and aspire to the top. According to Jack: “2013 looks great. I’ve ridden with Beta and the Top Trial Team before, so I know they can give me everything I need to win, and the same for Jitsie and Red Bull. I am very grateful for the support of all my sponsors. 2012 has been difficult and luckily everyone has been very supportive.”
On behalf of the Beta brand, John Lampkin noted: “We are very pleased that Jack will continue with Beta in 2013. His time on the Jitsie team has been very good for Jack and they have worked very well together. Jitsie has been a great support to Jack especially throughout the last few times, especially when he had his wrist injury. I would like to thank you personally for the excellent support you have given Jack over the past few years. “Next year Jack will race for the Italian Top Trial team. They work in a very professional manner and I’m sure it will be a good move for him. Jack has had to face a difficult time and the strength of his character has helped him to never give up. I believe in Jack’s talent and now, with his wrist restored and the new team, I look forward to a successful 2013.”
