Young rider Jack Sheppard, just 17 years old, has been rewarded for his great last season, where he finished second in the SPEA FIM Youth World Championship, with an official contract with Beta through British importer, John Lampkin. The Suffolk rider will take part in the British Expert Championship, the Scottish Six Days Trial, the Scott Trial and other national events taking place in the UK. Jack will also participate in the FIM SPEA World Championship and the rest of the international events that his schedule may allow. This week he will pick up his Beta EVO to familiarize himself before traveling to Spain, where he plans to do adaptation training in a climate more typical for World Cup trials, such as Andorra and Barcelona.
According to Jack: “It’s incredible, twelve months ago I didn’t have a contract to do the World Championship and now I get direct support from the factory to cover the whole season. I can’t wait to get on my bike and start training hard. I would like to take the opportunity to thank the Top Trial Team for their help over the past few years, as well as John Lampkin, Beta and Jitsie for giving me this opportunity. I hope my results live up to all this confidence.”
