Sandra Gómez joins the ranks of Gas Gas

Gas Gas announces the signing of Sandra Gómez. The reigning SuperEnduro and AMA Enducross world champion joins the Gas Gas Factory FG Trial Team, a structure with which she will fight for the world and national trial title. The rider from Madrid will also participate in long-term races such as the Six Days of Scottish Trials (SSDT) or the Dos Dies d’Arinsal.
The incorporation of Sandra Gómez to the Gas

family is another step forward for the Spanish factory in its commitment to trials and in the support of women’s competitions, which have been constantly growing in recent times. The Spaniard thus resumes a career full of successes in trials after a 2015 season in which she focused all her efforts on winning the two most prestigious titles in indoor enduro: the SuperEnduro World Championship, in Europe, and the AMA Enducross Championship, on the other side of the Atlantic, in the United States.
On her most immediate agenda is the participation in the SSDT 2016, from May 2 to 7 in Fort Williams (Scotland), where the Madrid-born singer will make her debut in competition with Gas Gas. Meanwhile, from July, Sandra Gómez will combine her participations in the national and the world trial championships.
The rider from Cercedilla will fight for the crown of the trial world championship that starts next July in Tong, England, and that, in 2016, has three double races: this first in Tong, a second in Valchiampo, in Italy, and the last in Isola 2000, France. In addition to these, the new Gas Gas rider will also take part in all the remaining races of the Spanish Trial Championship for women: Pobladura de Regueras (León), Vall de Lord (Lleida), Carnota (A Coruña), Valdemanco (Madrid) and Antas (Almería).
Sandra Gomez: “I’m very excited because I’m going back to Gas Gas, the brand with which I started doing trials. And the truth is that I’m motivated and eager to start training and fighting to get my first world title in trial. My first race will be the ‘Scottish’, in just two weeks’ time, so this experience will help me adapt to this new Gas Gas TXT 300 Racing that I have heard so much about. I’ll need some time to adapt, to get used to it, but I can’t wait to start competing.”
