Previous Trial of Nations

tdn_trial_400This coming weekend will be held the twenty-eighth edition of the Trial of Nations, a competition that for the sixth edition arrives in transalpine lands and where Spain has climbed to the top of the podium on 17 occasions. The national squad, with riders from the world’s “top 5”, are almost assured of a new victory, although for this they will have to deal with increasingly leading and consolidated teams.

Italy, playing at home, will try to achieve a good result in front of the fans, who have only won one edition , in 1987, with riders such as Bosis, Franco, Miglio and Chiaberto. In front of them they will have some very tough nuts to crack, such as Great Britain, which is usually the most competitive behind the national team, and the Japanese , who, as they showed in the Japanese GP, can surprise with their records.

Nor should we forget the women, especially the nationals, who already know what it is to climb to the top of the podium and victory is their only goal in this race.
