After the first preview we made about the next Gas Gas Raga, we update the information with the official statement from Gas Gas, where each and every one of the changes incorporated in the new limited edition are broken down in detail. Once again, it will be produced in 250, 280 and 300cc versions. We reproduce below the statement of Gas Gas in full.
The model, which will go on sale this month, features a Tech fork, new magnesium crankcases and quick removal of the air filter and selector.
After Àdam Raga led it to its debut with victory a week ago in the first round of the Trial World Championship, the Gas Gas assembly line is finalizing the preparations for the entry into production of the TXT Raga Replica 2012. This limited edition has been built in the image and likeness of the bike used by the leader of the Gas Gas team andpromises to become the new benchmark in the sector thanks to all the technology it incorporates.
In addition to the new graphics, the new TXT Raga features a new Tech fork that brings more stability and precision to the front end, as well as better performance throughout the suspension travel. The rear axle features the latest version of the multi-adjustable Reiger shock absorber, as well as new adjustments to the progressive system.
The engine has received a thorough update, with new magnesium crankcases and a new quick-release system for the selector shaft. In addition, the 280 and 300 cc displacements receive new Keihin carburetors, while the exhaust curve is made of titanium and adopts a new tapered design. This improves low-rev response and optimises performance, which is also helped by the redesigned quick-release filter box.
The long list of components that are being improved ranges from the steering plates , to the running boards, to master cylinders, calipers and brake discs. The weight of the set is only 65.5 kilos. –NR data not verified-.
