Oriol Noguera has announced his imminent retirement from high-level trials, ending the contract by mutual agreement with Jotagas in the middle of the 2019 season. The rider from Barcelona has indicated that he is in a moment of “professional asphyxiation” and as he himself says “I hope that time will serve to link me back to trial”.
Noguera finished the 2018 season in the top category in thirteenth position, a result that has the added merit of having two races less to his credit, since, as in 2019,
Jotagas
decided not to participate in the Japanese Grand Prix with any of his drivers. This is something that greatly conditions the ability of a rider progressing within the top category to fight to be within the “top ten” at the end of the season.
Jotagas has not made any clarification regarding this decision.
