Discover all the technical information and secrets of Jordi Tarres’ JTG already presented at this link

A few weeks ago we gave the news that Jordi Tarrés he was immersed in the ambitious project of a new Trial bike that, as he himself stated, It was the bike of his dreams. A very fine work, always in the shadows, which is being forged in the Alcañiz Motor City, Motorland. An excellent test bench for the new model of the Jotagas company: the JT (acronym for  Jordi Tarrés).

We leave you a new press release and photographs of the project.

After more than two years of work, JTG presented its project in Zaragoza on February 17, in an act of a rather political nature; During all this time and since then, the company’s technical and human machinery has continued to work NON STOP in order to be able to present both JT and MK models before the summer.

The company’s strategy has been to Working from the shadows and playing with the wow factor, which is why no more material is being provided, whether photographic or any other type and we want it to be during the presentation when all the secrets, virtues and details about it are revealed.

However, and aware of the interest that these two models have aroused in a large majority of users, the JTG team has decided, even if it is in pieces, to break its own rules a little and send some more photos to keep it alive.

The company Jotagas (JTG) will develop innovative trial and enduro motorcycles at the TechnoPark Motorland Motor Technology Park, in Alcañiz (Teruel), which will be marketed in the coming months, and which could compete in the world championships of these modalities from next year.

jt3This was confirmed today at a press conference by the president of the company, Jordi Robinat, who appeared together with the Minister of Industry of the Aragonese Government, Arturo Aliaga, and the riders Jordi Tarrés (trial) and Miki Arpa (enduro), who have joined the business project as advisors.

To implement the project, Jotagas plans to create 25 direct high-skilled jobs and invest 3.2 million euros, of which more than one will be allocated to R+D+i (Research, Development and Innovation) tasks in which the University of Zaragoza will participate. The company plans, according to its president, to present its two motorcycles between the months of April and May, and to manufacture over eight hundred or a thousand units of each model by the end of the year.

The president of the company explained that with the new motorcycles developed, Jotagas does not intend to compete in the market of the motorcycle industry but to offer its potential customers a motorcycle of an “elitist” nature, with an innovative design aimed at enhancing their speed and mobility.

Robinat thanked the support given to the project by the Aragonese Government and the University of Zaragoza, and praised the facilities of the Alcañiz Motor Technology Park as they will allow the development of the new motorcycles and test their characteristics at the Motorland circuit.

Jordi Tarrés and Miki Arpa appeared at the presentation of Jotagas, who have expressed their satisfaction at their incorporation into the project for the development of the new
motorcycles, and the plans of both to lead the teams with which the company plans to compete in the circuits of the world championships of both modalities.

Jordi Tarrés, seven-time trial world champion, commented that Jotagas has allowed him to carry out “Something that I had always had in my head, the creation of a new bike, the bike of my dreams and that I have always wanted.” In this regard, he added that his ambition is “to make a technically innovative, light and reliable bike, with an incredible design”.

For his part, Miki Arpa, several times Spanish and European enduro champion, explained that Motorland is “the best possible place” to have a base of operations to assemble and test motorcycles.

The Minister of Industry has expressed his confidence in the future of a company that, according to him, can be the germ of a motorcycle manufacturing industry “pride of Spanish technology”.

He has assured that he has the same “feelings” regarding Jotagas that he experienced in 1980, when the multinational General Motors “changed the future of Aragon” by locating in the Community. For Aliaga, the homologation in the market of two new Spanish-made motorcycles, with the participation of Robinat in the project and the University of Zaragoza, “is a dream, because in Aragon it was unthinkable a few years ago that a motorcycle could be built”.

It has also pledged to defend the homologation of these two new motorcycles before the Ministry of Industry, and to support entrepreneurship.
