New Dunlop D803GP Trial [VIDEO]

Dunlop, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of motorcycle tyres, today announces the launch of the new D803 GP trial tyre. The tyre builds on the good reputation of its predecessor, the Dunlop D803, and incorporates feedback from leading trial riders and motorcycle manufacturers to provide improved performance under a wide range of temperatures and terrain.
Over the past decade, the D803 has delivered excellent levels of grip under complex riding circumstances, including wet and muddy conditions. Respected in the racing world, the D803 tire also ran at extremely low pressures and stood out for offering good rim protection.
To continue this success, Dunlop has asked leading international trial riders and motorcycle manufacturers in this segment to advise on the development of the D803 GP. Thus, this tire continues to maintain the quality in its performance with a renewed carcass design and a new compound with a silica blend that offers superior handling and greater control thanks to the fact that it gives the rider a better feel on the terrain and a more progressive deformation than before. The tyre also stands out for its improved grip on wet and muddy terrain, as well as excellent performance in a wide range of temperatures, including very low ambient temperatures.
“We are proud to launch the D803 GP which builds on the performance legacy of the D803. We have received feedback from those who ride and work with these tyres every day to improve the D803 and create a tyre that offers the control that modern trial riders are looking for in a wide variety of terrain conditions,” said Andy Marfleet, Dunlop’s Marketing Manager for Motorcycles in EMEA.
With the same tread pattern as the D803, the tyre is available in metric sizes to meet ETRTO (European Tyre and Rim Technical Organisation) standards – 695 mm diameter and 77 mm width for the front tyre and 695 mm diameter and 108 mm width for the rear tyre. The bore also complies with the FIM regulation for trials.
The new Dunlop D803 GP are available with a recommended retail price of €99.55 for the front and €146.95 for the rear, and can now be purchased at the main Dunlop points of sale in our country.
