The 2015 edition of the SPEA RFME Spanish Individual Trial Championship has visited the town of La Clua, belonging to the municipality of Basella, in Lleida. Well, in this small town near the Rialb reservoir, in addition to repeating the presence of the ten categories convened in the inaugural test – including the new Women’s C and Veteran – TR2 has made its debut; a class that, like TR1 – yet to start – was not convened just over a month ago at the start of the competition.
The person in charge of bringing this second challenge of the season to a successful conclusion has been the Moto Club Segre, who has prepared for this III Trial of La Clua de Basella a route, of 12 sections to overcome in two laps and with a maximum time of five hours, very similar to that seen in its first two editions. in 2013 and 2014; both scoring for the Catalan Open Trial Championship. However, unlike these, in the opposite direction. Likewise, seven of the areas have been marked very close to the paddock, and another two, one natural and the other indoor, right next to it.
In TR2, the victory went to Víctor Palomares, who won with a total of 31 points. Marc Riba and Marcos Méndez followed him on the podium at 5 and 16 points, respectively. In the rest of the categories in contention, the best were the following: Gabriel Marcelli, in Junior; Rafael Latorre, in TR3; Eric Miquel, in Cadet; Sergio Puyo, in TR4; Mireia Conde, in Female A; Alba Lara, in Female B; Eva Muñoz, in Female C; Joan Solé, in Veterano; Rodrigo Marchal, in Juvenil A; and Lluc Miquel, in Juvenil B.
The next test for the TR2, TR3, TR4, Junior and Cadet categories will be held on March 29 in the Balearic town of Sant Joan, in Mallorca, where they will also be joined by TR1. For their part, the three levels of Women’s will not return until May 9 in El Condado, Asturias. And a month and a half later, on June 21, the two categories of Youth and the new Veteran will do the same. The place, Teo, A Coruña.
