The third scoring race for the Spanish Trial Championship, held in the León town of Pobladura de las Regueras (León), has left us with an epic duel between the contenders for the title of Spanish Trial Champion 2021.
The main protagonist was Miquel Gelabert, official GASGAS rider, who took his second victory of the season and became the provisional leader of the 2021 Spanish Trial Championship.
It was a highly demanding race, but with feasible sections until the ninth and tenth, which were more selective, and the twelfth, which determined the final result of the race. It was all or nothing.
Gelabert was the best in all these areas and was also the only one, along with Marcelli, who managed to get through zone 12. This gave him a six-point lead over Raga going into the second lap, and seven over Busto.
On the second lap we witnessed the comeback of Adam Raga, a classic for the TRRS rider, who tends to turn better in the last laps. Everything began to equalize from zone ten, where Busto also began to recover ground on Raga.
In this way, Gelabert and Busto played in the last area. If Busto managed to get through it cleanly, he won the race. If he made a mistake, Gelabert would assert the advantage of the first lap. And so it was. Victory for Gelabert, followed by Busto and Raga. Fourth position for Marcelli, fifth Casales, followed by Aniol, Suárez and Trueba.

In Women’s TR3 victory for Daniela Hernando, followed by Lucía Gómez and Alexia Llado.
In Veteran A victory for Eduardo Álvarez, followed by Carles Casas and Jordi Ramonet.
In Veteran B victory for Manuel Panizo, followed by Juan Maurer, Julio Abellán
The second scoring race will be on Sunday, also in Pobladura de las Regueras (León), coinciding with the fourth round of the 2021 season.
