Manuel Casado will be elected president of the Royal Motorcycling Federation of Spain (RFME) The next November 26, a date scheduled for the Assembly of the aforementioned body, ratified by the Electoral Board after an order from the Higher Sports Council (CSD) to the Federation Manager to continue the electoral process.
Almost a year after the Assembly was voted, it has finally been ratified by the Electoral Board and will meet on November 26 to elect the new president, with Manuel Casado as the only candidate for the moment, who has the support of 80 of the 98 members of the Assembly, according to a note released by the Assembly’s candidacy.

The note states that the CSD, in its meeting on September 6, “forced the Management Board of the RFME to implement the calendar of the electoral process that had been interrupted for ten months, so the Assembly will meet on November 26 to elect Manuel Casado as president.”
“On October 29 last year, Spanish motorcycling voted for change with an overwhelming majority – 80 votes against 18 in the newly elected Assembly – after a considerable delay in the electoral process, given that the outgoing president’s team Ángel Viladoms he used multiple legal stratagems to delay everything,” explains the note from Manuel Casado’s Candidacy.

After that Assembly, in which President Ángel Viladoms achieved 18 members and Manuel Casado 80, the Management Board of the RFME denounced the electoral census prepared by the Federation itself in Court number 12 of Valencia, whose head decided the precautionary suspension of the electoral process, although both the prosecutor and the judge, subsequently, They decided that the facts denounced were not relevant enough to keep the process stopped and lifted the precautionary suspension on July 7.
Three days earlier, Ángel Viladoms resigned as chairman of the Management Company and replaced him with Pedro Mas, which refused to resume the electoral process, until the Higher Sports Council instructed the Management Board to resume it immediately at the beginning of September.

With delay, the RFME Manager convened the Electoral Board to ratify the Assembly and publish the final electoral calendar, according to which the Assembly will meet on November 26 to elect the new president.
