Letter from Gas Gas clarifying your current situation

Following the rumours of the closure of Gas Gas, the General Manager of Gas Gas, Jordi Arilla, has communicated his view of the facts to deny the claims that some media have made about the brand, taking for granted the cessation of production of Gas Gas.
The letter reads, literally:

Dear partners, After some rumours published by different digital media in Spain, TORROT / GASGAS would like to clarify some aspects about the current situation of the company.
Recently, TORROT/GASGAS has designed a viability and continuity plan based on cost containment measures that involve an annual evaluation. Savings of 45%, optimisation and improvement of industrial processes and indicators and the issuance of a Temporary Employment Regulation Process that affects the workforce of all the companies of the group: Torrot Electric Europa SA, GasGas Motorcycles SLU and Velocípedo Torrot SLU. for a period of three to six months.
These measures aim to promote more flexible structures to ensure the continuity of the three companies. In no way has the Board of Directors planned to cease production, which continues its normal activity in accordance with production planning, nor the closure of the Girona factory.
In this line of work, the company is negotiating with the Company’s Labor Committee to agree on the change of the Temporary Employment Regulation Process. The evolution of these negotiations will limit the final scope of the processes that will always be adapted to the needs of production.
At the same time, the Board engages in discussions with various parties to ensure the necessary liquidity of the company to stabilize cash flow, the production operations plan, and the evolution and development of the product catalog.
We remain focused on commercial and after-sales operations to fulfill the deliveries of pending orders of the MUVI model to several European Moto-Sharing operators and the launch of the new GASGAS 2020 trial and enduro models. After-sales service and spare parts supply will keep operations as usual.
I would like to end this letter by thanking you for the support we have always received. Sincerely
Jordi Arilla Arts.
GasGas Managing Director
