James Dabill Wins Scott Trial | Video

James Dabill has taken victory in the famous Scott Trial, a race held annually in the hills of North Yorkshire.
It is considered one of the most demanding competitions on a
trial bike
, as the rider must combine skill with speed. In this race it is not enough to accumulate few penalties, but the time in which the route is covered is also decisive.
James Dabill is establishing himself as a great specialist in long-term and demanding competitions. In this edition he was presented as one of the favorites along with his teammate Dougie Lampkin, four-time winner of the Scott Trial. The twelve-time world champion was unable to enter the fight for victory after a mechanical problem in his lever and gearbox as a result of a strong impact against a rock, causing serious damage to the internal gear and forcing his retirement.
James Dabill also had some mechanical problems, having to stop to fix an excess of slack in his chain and regret a heavy blow to his gear lever before the Shaw Gutter sections. Dabill reached the finish line eleven minutes later than the local rider Jonathan Richardson, but instead the Vertigo rider had in his favor a card less loaded with zone penalties.
