James Dabill to continue with Beta until 2014

dabill_480rumours that pointed to a rift between Beta and James Dabill after the last round of the World Championship, the British driver has finally renewed his contract with Beta Motor until 2014.

In 2012, at the age of 26, Dabill achieved the best times of his sporting career after signing an excellent third place in Penrith (United Kingdom). It was precisely this podium that mathematically snatched the runner-up spot from his teammate, Jeroni Fajardo, by just one point. The important thing for the British rider is that he looks very strong for 2013 in the world championship and also has his fourth British national title just a stone’s throw away.

Undoubtedly, Dabill’s motivation is to achieve greater regularity in his results and continue to stay close to the records set by the “top 5”: Bou, Raga, Fajardo, Cabestany and Fujinami.

According to Dabill: “It was a really easy decision. The good relationship built with the team over the last few years, together with the great passion and knowledge about what it takes to fight for victory, are the best arguments. I want to fight for the podium in every race and for that I need a quality team and bike like the one they offer me. The bike is capable of winning, we’ve already seen the Beta on the podium seven times this season and I’m sure next year we can continue to do that.”

From Beta they state: “James has had an excellent 2012 season, proving that he is at the level of the best riders in the world and culminating in a podium finish in the World Championship. Renewal was the natural path of our relationship. We believe this relationship is going to benefit both parties and James’ ambition will be a great encouragement to Beta.”

In 2013 Dabill will participate in the World Championships, British National Championships, Scottish Six Days Trial and the Scott Trial.
