James Dabill, new official Gas Gas driver

Gas Gas and James Dabill join their paths for the future. The benchmark rider of British trials for the last decade joins the Gas Gas Factory FG Trial Team as an official rider of the brand for the next two seasons, in which he will take part in three major competitions: the Indoor X-Trial World Championship and the Outdoor Trial World Championship, as well as the Spanish Trial Championship. Dabill’s competition schedule next year also includes his participation in prestigious international events such as the Scottish Six Days of Trial and the Scott Trial.

James Dabill is the reigning British trial champion, a title he has won seven times. The 30-year-old Yorkshire rider will make his debut as an official Gas Gas

rider in Sheffield, the first of four rounds of the 2017 X-Trial World Championship that will start on January 9 in Great Britain. The new addition of the Girona firm in the trial will debut at the controls of the new Gas
Gas TXT300 Racing
in the X-Trial World Championship as the brand’s main bet in this international competition.
The award-winning British rider arrives at Gas Gas after having completed a great season of Trial Competition and treasuring a career full of successes including, in addition to his seven titles as British champion, his two victories in the SSDT (2007 and 2011) and his three triumphs in the Scott Trials (2010, 2014 and 2016). These titles are in addition to the World Junior Championships and the European Championships he won in 2005 and 2006 respectively.
With the signing of Dabill, ninth and seventh in the last indoor and outdoor world championships, Gas Gas reinforces its world championship team in the highest category of trial after having won the 2016 world crown in Trial125 and Trial2, with Jack Peace and Jack Price, and the runner-up in the Trial Women world championship with Sandra Gómez.
James Dabill: “I’ll start by saying how excited I am to start this new adventure with Gas Gas and I’m really looking forward to working with Marc Colomer – Gas Gas’ Sporting Director – and the whole team in Girona. I’m super happy that Gas Gas have put their trust in me to be a factory rider, and knowing how very, very good the bike is, I’m sure we can achieve great results together. I feel almost like I’m coming home. All that remains to say is a big thank you to Manel Jané and the folks at Vertigo for giving me such an amazing opportunity and experience over the last two years. I will be eternally grateful.”
