The Spanish Trial Championship held its fourth scoring race of the current season in Benahavís (Málaga), although without the presence of all the categories.
We are witnessing a relatively simple race for the drivers of the top category, with few points in general. A race that has served to confirm that the fight for the title will be, if there are no news, between two riders: Jaime Busto and Gabriel Marcelli. At this stage of the championship both have shared the victories, two for each, so they are in a draw right at the halfway point of the championship.
Although he only separated both drivers by one point in the final classification, it was Jaime Busto who dominated the race, adding more penalty points for time (5) than in zones (3), while Marcelli dropped a total of six in zones. Both were able to complete the second lap without any penalty.
The podium was completed by Jorge Casales, who was not in the fight for victory but rode with solvency to overtake Adam Raga who was fourth, weighed down by not being able to overcome zone nine in either of the two laps, adding ten absolutely key points to get on the podium.
Fifth place went to Pablo Suárez, getting closer and closer to the leading drivers and overtaking his most direct rivals. Behind him, Aniol Gelabert, Alex Canales, Gerard Trueba and Gil Vila.
TRIPLE TIE IN TR2
Pau Martínez was the winner of the TR2 category after an all-out fight with David Fabián and Sondre Haga. The three ended up tied on points after a very intense battle that lasted all day. Ramón Godino took the victory in Junior followed by Ryon Land and Marcos Combarro. Rodrigo Marchal, Jordi Sanjuan and Jordi Camp were the members of the TR3 podium with 4, 6 and 17 penalties, respectively.
Martí, Sillue and Comas, undefeated
In the Cadet 125cc, Cadet Cup and TR4 categories, the first positions of Otger Martí, Poldo Sillue, and Dani Comas must be highlighted, as they are the only three undefeated riders since the CET season started. In Cadet 125cc Otger was accompanied in the photograph by Edgar García and Xicu Mari.
In Cadete Copa Poldo he had Genís Forns and Jaime Calvo on the sides on the podium and in TR4 Comas Joan Ricart and Pablo Lorente.
The next round of the Spanish Trial Championship will be held in Pobladura de las Regueras, León, on July 20 and 21 with all the categories called.
