Hebo Carbon Zone 4 Trial Helmet | Quick Test

The top of the range of Hebo helmets collection has at its maximum exponent the Hebo Zone 4 Carbon, a helmet where technology, design and efficiency merge in a single product.

For more than a decade,
Hebo
has had a trial helmet made of carbon fiber in its collection. Within Hebo’s 2018 catalogue, the Zone 4 model, which is also made of fiberglass, is consolidated in the market with a carbon fiber variant.
Hebo Carbon Trial Helmet
The weight difference between the two models is 100 grams in favor of carbon, with a weight of 850 grams compared to 950 grams for the
Hebo Zone 4
. The shells on both helmets are built in two sizes for greater comfort in each size.
Inner Hebo Carbon Trial Helmet
The interior is completely removable, made of foam laminate of different densities, covered by a hypoallergenic Coolmax fabric for maximum comfort.
Ventilation is one of the key points of this helmet. It has two front inputs, two upper inlets and four rear outlets. An important detail is that the upper outlets have two removable covers to adjust the interior airflow according to the type of use or season of the year.

TRIALWORLD’S TAKE

It is a helmet that we have very tested and its quality is beyond doubt. Its aesthetics and finishes are at a high level, using very practical solutions, such as the accessories that are included to attach enduro-type goggles on the sides. Once put on, it is comfortable and allows full freedom of movement on the bike. The closure is micro-adjustable, so you just need to adjust the straps once and from then on putting it to your liking is a matter of seconds. To remove it, simply gently release a small handle. It’s just as simple.
The interior is washable and easily dismantled in three parts. A main one where most of the interior comes out and both side padding. There are no differences here with the fiberglass Zone 4.
What I value most about this helmet is its fit and lightness. In an investment as important and long-term as the purchase of a helmet, the plus of lightness and comfort is always an added value to be taken into account. On the other hand, it has that “premium” point that carbon always provides. In short, a helmet recommended for the most demanding. If you don’t like the price, consider the
Hebo Zone 4 Link
, which with a difference of just 100 grams is much more affordable.
