Great double victory for Arnau Farré at the Japanese GP

The Trial2 World Championship has given an important coup de effect in Motegi, where 40 points were distributed, very important for the future of the championship.

The Scorpa rider, Billy Green, arrived as the leader of the category and leaves Motegi in this first position of the championship, although with a smaller advantage over his rivals and with Arnau Farré outside the provisional top3. After Motegi, the Trial2 favourites grow and are more evenly matched.

ARNAU FARRÉ THE MAIN PROTAGONIST

Arnau Farré has been the great protagonist of the Japanese Grand Prix, signing a double victory that allows him to propel himself to the third provisional position. Billy Green got off the podium on Saturday and lost his lead in the overall standings to Jack Peace, who with a second and third position became the most benefited rider in the category, boosting his second place overall to within two points of Green.

Pablo Suárez, another of the favourites, climbed the podium on Saturday, but failed to keep up the pace on Sunday and plummeted in the standings to just four points, leaving him fourth overall and 23 points behind the leader.

It was also a bad weekend for the reigning Trial2 World Champion, Sondre Haga, who only scored 8 points out of a possible 40, sinking to fifth place overall. The Norwegian rider is 38 points behind the leader and will find it difficult to win the intermediate category crown again.

The next round of Trial2 will be on June 10 and 11 in San Marino.
