The The Czech Republic will be the country that will host the first round of the European Trial Championship on Saturday and Sunday. With the batteries fully charged and knowing the high level of our trialists, Sandra Gómez arrives, Pere Borrellas and Marc Riba, the only three Spanish representatives at this event. As far as Sandra is concerned, she will participate in Trial EC as well as in the Women’s category, while Marc Riba will participate in 125cc.
So far this season, the rider from Ossa has participated in the first round of the Spanish Women’s A Championship in Bocairent, Valencia, where she finished second and in Arnedillo, La Rioja, in TR3 where she finished fifth. For his part, Marc is third in the Spanish Junior Championship with 56 points, behind Arnau Farré and Nacho Fernández-Sancho but still with a chance of climbing positions as there are five races left to play.
Pere will have a new opportunity to compete at the highest level after his performances at the World Championships in Japan and the USA in which he has achieved an eighteenth place in the two days of Motegi and being thirteenth in America. The Gas Gas rider is seventh in the CET standings, tied on points with sixth-placed Jeroni Fajardo.
This weekend they start a new competition in which they will try to do well and return to Spain with the best possible result.
