Great Britain’s Emma Bristow (Sherco) has won for the third time in a row in the only women’s indoor trial event in the world. In the toughest and most demanding edition of the three held to date, the British rider was joined on the podium by France’s Naomi Monnier (GasGas) and Spain’s Berta Abellán (Scorpa).
Five long and tricky sections awaited the five best riders in the world and this edition of the Women’s Trophy has been by far the one that has seen the fewest zeros.
Changes of direction, vertical obstacles, and few options for rest have been to blame. The path to victory for eight-time TrialGP Women’s World Champion Emma Bristow has been cleared very quickly. In zone 3, the Sherco rider was already 7 points ahead of her pursuers Monnier and Abellán.
The final difference was 6 points and despite Bristow conceding her only “five” in three editions of the Women’s Trophy in the last zone. Second place was decided in the time tiebreaker, which was in favour of Naomi Monnier after Berta Abellán exhausted the five minutes of maximum time established.
Italy’s Andrea Sofia Rabino (Beta) and Norway’s Huldeborg Barkved (TRRS) finished fourth and fifth respectively.

I've enjoyed competing in front of such an audience again and I'm looking forward to returning next year to the Palau Sant Jordi."
BERTA ABELLAN (P3)"A mechanical failure on the bike left me with no options to fight for the win this time. I had to go through all the areas in first gear. I'm satisfied because I gave it my all and I hope to have used up my unlucky place in Barcelona today. This year I was ready to win because of the good level of the sections. Today has been a very good learning experience and I want to continue like this".
