Eddie Karlsson wins the European Trial Championship in Norway

Karlsson 500Trial: Norway was the country that hosted the third round of the European Trial Championship this past weekend. Marc Riba competed in the 125cc Trial and Pere Borrellas in EC. They both came to the south of Oslo with the idea of doing a good job and they both succeeded.

Marc finished eleventh, narrowly missing out on the top ten. The rider from Ossa scored five points less than Oskar Kaczmarczyk, who qualified tenth.

In the case of Pere, he managed to get on the podium after battling throughout the morning with his closest rivals. The three who lead the overall standings in the category were the ones who managed to win in Norway. Eddie Karlsson took the victory with 100 points, compared to Luca Cotone’s 85 in second and Pere Borrellas’ 70 in third.

The Gas Gas rider remains behind Karlsson and Cotone in the overall standings, although he has Martin Kroustek 10 points behind.

Next weekend the last round of the European Trial Championship will be held in Boras, Sweden. On the 17th, the 125cc and girls categories will compete while the 18 Trial EC, Junior and Over 40 will compete.
