Dougie Lampkin wins the 2018 Scott Trial

Dougie Lampkin continues to make history and this weekend he won the 2018 Scott Trial. An edition that will be remembered for how tough the conditions were throughout the race due to the rain.

A new edition of the iconic Scott Trial took place this weekend. A unique and very popular trial in which not only the one who accumulates the fewest points wins, but also the one who is able to finish the entire course in the shortest possible time. Lampkin came into the event as the winner of the last edition and with the victory in the SSDT 2018.
The conditions during the trial were the toughest in years. The rain left the rivers at very high levels, pushing motorcycles and riders to the limit. Like a fish in water, Lampkin knew how to deal with all these adversities to score a masterful victory, being the driver who scored the fewest points, 55 (5 by time plus 51 by the judges), and beating two world championship drivers such as Jack Price (65), who had set the reference time and James Dabill (80, 22 by time and 58 by the judges). 2nd and 3rd respectively.

himself once again demonstrated the reliability and competitiveness of the Vertigo in the toughest conditions of trial. Neither the water, which hung practically the entire bike in some areas, nor the mud, were an impediment for the British Champion to win again and continue to add to his legend.
This also culminates two incredible years of Team Manager and ambassador Vertigo, who achieves a double double with SSDT and Scott Trial for two seasons in a row, and even in 2018 we must add his victory in the 2 Dies Trial d’Arinsal. At 42 years of age, Lampkin is still very fit, and together with the Vertigo, he continues to add to his already extensive list of achievements.
