Dougie Lampkin Successfully Completes His Wheelie on the Isle of Man | VIDEO

Dougie Lampkin emerged victorious from one of the biggest challenges of his career, completing a full 60.6-kilometre lap of the Isle of Man single-wheeled TT.

Starting from the legendary grandstand in the city of Douglas, 12-time trial world champion Dougie Lampkin braved strong winds, traffic (roads were open during the attempt) and the steep ups and downs of the TT circuit. However, the Briton completed the feat in 1h 35′ and successfully completed the Dougie’s Wheelie project. Quite a feat that we saw live on Red Bull TV.

“I feel great,” said an emotional Lampkin as he reached the finish line. “The last 15 seconds were the best part of the course. The rest is a challenge. It wasn’t until there were a couple of meters left that I saw that it was possible. It’s amazing!

Dougie Lampkin: “I feel tremendous satisfaction. It has been seven months of preparation and the race has taken place under difficult weather conditions, where the strong winds have turned the challenge into a nightmare.”

Dougie’s Wheelie was also present on social media, where many athletes and top figures did not hesitate to praise Lampkin’s achievement
