The Catalan parliament has approved the Omnibus law, whereby the users of the motorbike will be able to circulate in the natural environment on roads of less than four meters, except in protected areas. This is excellent news for the industry, competition organisers, federations, dealers and, above all, for the user, who has been suffering constant persecution for almost two decades for the practice of off-roading.
The law has gone ahead with the support of CiU – under whose former government the ban was implemented – and PP, but with the opposition of PSC-PSOE and ERC. This is undoubtedly excellent news for motorcycling, as it opens the door to the rest of the communities and marks a new course to follow in the fight for dignified access to the mountains in motorized vehicles.
