Castelloli National Preview 19-F

RAGA400The Barcelona facilities of Parcmotor Castellolí will be in charge of hosting the start of the Spanish Trial Championship for another year , with the celebration next Sunday, February 19, of the first round of the season organized by the Moto Club Terrassa.

Toni Bou (Montesa) will thus begin the defence of the title won last year, with Albert Cabestany (Sherco), Adam Raga (Gas Gas) and Jeroni Fajardo (Beta) as his main rivals.

The program includes the TR1, TR2, TR3, TR+35, Junior and Cadet categories and the departure of the first participant will take place between 08:00 a.m. and 09:00 a.m., depending on the RFME supervisor.

Unlike the last two seasons, the 2012 Spanish Championship returns to the traditional scoring system , abandoning the Openfree, and this time the Catalan championship event that served as a prelude to the national race will not be held on Saturday.

To alleviate the weather problems that occurred last year and which led to the disqualification of all TR1 riders, in this edition the configuration of the race has been changed.

The TR2, TR3, TR3+35, June and Cadet categories will start first to cover the first lap of the 12 zones and then face a second lap. On the other hand, the participants in TR1 will leave later with a scheduled start around 12:00 noon, to make a single lap,  with two consecutive passes to each area.

rfme_400_1The distribution of the twelve zones is similar to last year, but the initial order of execution varies. From 1 to 5 are the furthest from the base, located in the area of Els Soterons, then you will descend to the level of Castellolí to face turns 6 and 7, close to turn 6 of the asphalt circuit, and about 200 meters away you will find turns 8, 9 and 10.

The last two areas are the traditional “indoor” ones that are located in the Jordi Tarrés area, above the main straight of the speed circuit.

As in the two previous editions, the organization will be able to provide fans with a bus service that will take them to the areas where the event is held, starting in front of the paddock of the circuit.

This season, the RFME facilitates the following of the Spanish Trial Championship through twitter @cet2012, from where the development of the event will be reported.
