Cabestany and Raga play for the runner-up spot in Paris

raga_vs_cabesOn Saturday, March 31st, Paris will close the season of the 2012 Indoor Trial World Championship, where there is already a winner, Toni Bou, who counts his performances by victories and adds all the possible points in the current campaign: 120.

Bou clinched the title in Milan, after narrowly beating Raga and uncorking the cava from the top of the podium. It will be precisely Raga, along with Cabestany, who have not yet said their last word and will star in a beautiful fight for the runner-up position in the world championship, a position to which both have the same options, since they are tied at 78 points in the provisional classification.

This season Raga has a small advantage , accumulating four second places to his credit, to Cabestany’s two.

Fujinami is fourth , in no man’s land, with 57 points, so he will be looking to have a good race and place himself in the places of honour for the third time. On the other hand, Jeroni Fajardo is coming very strong after an excellent performance in the national championships in Ibiza, but his results in Indoor are being weaker than expected.

As a result, Jeroni will have to be more vigilant that Loris Gubian , the only local rider with a fixed seat, does not tarnish his season even more. Currently, only six points separate the two drivers.

Jack Challoner , who made his debut in indoor territory in 2012, already had great performances in 2011, replacing the injured Pol Tarrés and Alfredo Gómez. Joining Jack will be two guest riders: Benoit Dagnicourt and Alexandre Ferrer, both French.

The Indoor Trial can be followed on Motors TV and Sport + (Canal +)
