Once the renewals of Jaime Busto, Berta Abellán and Pau Martínez have been announced, Vertigo is proud to be able to present the signing of Aniol Gelabert, one of the strongest promises of current trial to compete within the official structure of Vertigo in the Trial2 World Championship and the Spanish TR1 Championship for the next two seasons. His brother,
Miquel Gelabert
, will also be on the team.
The 19-year-old Catalan rider has already made a name for himself among the best riders in the world thanks to his spectacular and effective riding style. This season he finished 6th in the Trial2 World Championship with a third place as his best result in La Núcia. In 2018 he had already shown his great potential, with a sensational second place in Gouveia, Portugal.
In 2020 he will face his fourth season in the category, so he will be one of the drivers called to be in the fight for the places of honor. In 2019 Aniol has also formalized a more than remarkable season in the European Championship, finishing the championship in third position overall.
With this signing, Vertigo incorporates another young, ambitious rider with enormous potential to the team, which further ratifies, if possible, the brand’s firm commitment to young trial promises. La Vertical has emerged as the ideal machine for all of them to continue developing their skills, as demonstrated by their results, and with Aniol it is expected that it will allow them to make another qualitative leap in their exciting progression.
