TRIAL BIKE SUSPENSIONS

Suspensions are a key element in the performance of a trial bike trial. The sensitivity of riding and the technique needed to climb obstacles require that the suspensions work homogeneously and correctly in order to be effective.

The suspensions of the trialbike have evolved a lot. At the front, most of them are equipped with 39mm Tech forks, while Montesa uses the 39mm Showa fork on some of its models. Beta, for its part, opts for the 38mm Paioli on its standard EVO.

As for shock absorbers, the most common are the R16V from Ollé and the two-way Reiger. There are exceptions, such as Gas Gas or Sherco, which also trust the rear end to Öhlins.

To tune the suspensions of the bike from trialyou can play with the SAE of the fork oil (the most common is 5w) and also changing the suspension springs for ones that fit your weight and needs.

TRIAL FORK SEALS

Actually the maintenance of the suspensions of the motorcycle of trialis very low, but being an element very exposed to blows, it is easy that it can suffer damages. For this reason, it is common to place carbon protectors on the suspension bottles and neoprene on the upper bars.

The most common maintenance task is the replacement of seals in the fork of trial. A broken retainer causes oil loss and, consequently, poor suspension performance.

Fork seals are relatively easy to replace, although it is a time-consuming task. It is a good opportunity to replace the suspension oil and perform a complete maintenance.

At Trialworld Store you can find all the spare parts for the maintenance of your fork and shock from trial.
