Trial’s Vertigo evolves with Lampkin

Lampkin VertigoDougie Lampkin visited Barcelona last week to catch up with the Vertigo team, a new brand of trial bikes that will probably see the light of day at the end of 2014 and where Dougie has an important role in the development of the project.

Lampkin is now ready to test the prototype of the engine, which will be a two-stroke. This would have already been assembled to be subjected to rigorous reliability tests. The multi-time champion was pleased with the first impression of the new Vertigo and shared impressions with the lead engineer.

Lampkin stated: “I’m very surprised at the great job the team has done in recent weeks. If anyone had any doubts about Vertigo, they will realize how special this project really is. To this end, the current generation of Trial bikes has been analysed, looking for the strengths and weaknesses of each of them, both at a riding and engineering level. Then, starting from a blank piece of paper, a new engine with innovative solutions has been created.

There is no doubt about the resources and budgets that are being allocated to create a winning machine, also highlighting the feeling and passion of the entire vertigo team. Although the project is at a good point, there is still a lot of work ahead for the next few months if we want to have a bike capable of winning in higher level and amateur competitions.”
