National Indoor Trial Preview in Girona

ragaindoor13Fontajau Pavilion, which on November 1 at 6:00 p.m. will host the XXVI edition of the Indoor Trial Ciutat de Girona, has been in charge of hosting the presentation of the event today.

The event was attended by Jeroni Fajardo, rider of the Spanish Indoor Trial Championship who is also a native of Girona; Isabel Muradàs, Councillor for Sports of Girona City Council; Antoni Guinó, Deputy for Sports Cooperation of the Girona Provincial Council; and Albert Javierre, representative of Octagon Esedos, organizer of the event.

Fajardo has assured that he arrives at the event “in
a very good moment”,
so his intention is to “make things difficult for Toni Bou and the rest of the riders” and, in addition,
“to make the trial as impressive as possible to put on a show”.

To do this, the ideal would be to “get a victory” which, although difficult, can happen, given that he almost achieved it in the previous round of the Championship, that of Zaragoza.

Toni Bou is currently the leader and it would be enough for him to be fifth to take the win. However, Albert Cabestany is second and only one point separates him from Jeroni Fajardo; so the final podium is still to be decided and Girona will be a decisive event for the final result.

Isabel Muradàs stressed that “indoor trial is a deep-rooted sport both in Girona and in the area; and proof of this is that this event celebrates its XXVI edition this year”.

For this reason, “although every year it is
more difficult to carry out an event of these characteristics”, it is expected to
fill the pavilion, as it does every year.

As an incentive, all attendees will be able to enjoy the best trial in the world by the hand of 14-time World Champion Toni Bou and other riders such as Albert Cabestany, Adam Raga, Jeroni Fajardo himself, Francesc Moret, Pere Borrellas and two young drivers who will qualify in a preliminary round held behind closed doors in the morning.

To see who finally wins the title of Spanish Champion 2013 and how the podium is composed, tickets can be purchased at Atrá; and; at a price of €15 for adults and €6 for children.
