The SPEA RFME National Team rider Gabriel Marcelli has claimed victory in the Valencian town of Siete Aguas; stage of the ninth and last SPEA RFME Spanish Trial Championship. Jose Maria Moral, second, and Julián Montalvo, third in his farewell to the competition, completed the TR2 podium.

The SPEA RFME Spanish Trial Championship 2017 has come to an end this weekend in the Valencian town of Siete Aguas, scene of the ninth round of the season. This last race, which was initially going to be the one that inaugurated the current course at the end of last January, has had all the categories except TR1, which concluded three weeks ago. That is, with TR2, TR3, TR4, Junior, Cadet, Female A, B and C, Youth A and B, and Veteran. To be exact, a total of 73 drivers took part in this last outing of 2017.
The Siete Aguas Motorcycling Club, with the collaboration of the Motorcycling Federation of the Valencian Community, has been in charge of bringing this VI Seven Water Trial to a successful conclusion; an event whose route, 20 kilometres around Siete Aguas in an anti-clockwise direction and with a total of 11 zones – only 10 for Juvenil B – has delighted the participants.
The silver category of the CET 2017, TR2, the SPEA RFME National Team rider Gabriel Marcelli, after making the leap to TR1 three weeks ago in Valderrobres (Teruel), has said goodbye to the category with a new victory. The new winner of the 2017 TR2 National Trophy has added his seventh consecutive victory of the year after penalizing just 7 points; 12 less than José María Moral, second, and 21 less than Julián Montalvo, third.
Thanks to his second place here, Moral has finally climbed to third place in the category behind Marcelli himself and Aniol Gelabert, while Montalvo has said goodbye to the championship, as well as to our sport, with his first podium of the season.
The SPEA RFME National Team rider Maria Giró has been the only representative in contention here in Women’s A. Logically, the Catalan has won and, in the process, has climbed to third place in the final to the detriment of Mireia Conde, absent in the last two races held.
It is worth mentioning that the brand new 2017 Spanish Absolute Champion and SPEA RFME National Team rider in the Women’s TrialGP World Championship Berta Abellán has made her debut in TR3, the same level of difficulty that the participants face in Junior and in which we will see her in 2018.
In the rest of the categories in action, the winners were the following riders: Gil Vila, in Junior; David Millán, in TR3; Pau Martínez, in Cadet; José María Segura, in TR4; Eva Muñoz, in Female B; Mariona Tasias, in Female C; Oriol Giró, in Juvenil A; Alejandro Climent, in Juvenil B; and Juan Vicente Tur, in Veterano.
By the way, Martinez, in Cadete; Segura, in TR4; Tasias, in Feminine C; Roger Casas, in Juvenil B; and Javier Palau, in Veteran, have won the title here in their respective categories. Previously, Toni Bou, in TR1; Gabriel Marcelli, in TR2; David Millán, in TR3; Martín Riobo, in Junior; Berta Abellán, in Female A; Eva Muñoz, in Female B; and Carlos Palma, in Juvenil A.
