Fujinami all courage in Cordoba

cordoba12_fujiThe Japanese rider had a particularly tough weekend in Cordoba. An unfortunate fall on the first day left him damaged the little finger in his right hand, and he even had to be treated by doctors and go to the hospital for X-rays and a thorough examination.

Fujinami finally had to come out with his finger bandaged and immobilized, preparing a specific glove for it and with the added difficulty of doing World Championship-level sections in these conditions. Sensational, therefore, the fourth place achieved by Takahisa in these conditions.

Takahisa Fujinami -day 1-: “I don’t have much to say, just that it’s been a tough day. I have suffered, but I wanted to finish; I had to do it and I have succeeded. We’ll see what happens tomorrow. I know I will suffer again, but I will not give up trying as hard as I can to achieve the best possible result in these conditions.”.

Takahisa Fujinami -day2-: “I’ve had a tough day, because of the pain and the lack of touch. On the first lap I gave it my all, but then I was forced to moderate myself. In the conditions I’m in, finishing fourth was unthinkable and obviously I’m very satisfied with this result, which for me today has as much value as a victory.”
